PROS:

  • Looks like the best life-style phone ever made. Transparent edges, optical glass screen, really smooth rounded corners, only one button on its facing side sounds very simple and only 12mm thick sleek design.
  • Full touch screen phone with minimal buttons. Innovative touch screen technology with Multi-touch sensing.
  • 3.5 inch of beautiful and bright HVGA display with 320x240 (160ppi) resolution.
  • 4gb of built in memory equivalent to a DVD full of music and videos.
  • Widescreen video for the best movie experience.
  • Accelerometer which automatically adjust the display as landscape/portrait according to how you hold.
  • The most smoothest animated GUI ever seen in a mobile phone and would be one of the easiest to operate.
  • Truly the best iPod ever made, a video iPod + a smart phone.
  • Comes with the same earphones as iPod's which would result in the best portable mobile music/movie experience.
  • Quad band GSM.

CONS:

  • The most ringing problem is the virtual keyboard which some people found a bit hard to get used up with it during the phone was put on expo.
  • full touch screen with no covering might be susceptible to damage.
  • Only available for who subscribe for 2 years of AT&T connectivity.
  • OS is not an open platform means there will be no 3rd party applications like in Symbian OS. Expect only further software updates from Apple.
  • Lacks 3G connectivity, well Apple plans to bring their next iPhone with 3G.
  • For 500$ is a bit pricey option.
  • 700mb footprint for its OS means only 3300mb will be available for extra stuff.
  • 2.0 megapixel camera only.
  • Safari browser which comes bundled doesn't support Flash movies or Java for now.
  • Battery is non-replaceable like in iPods. You have to pay to Apple for battery replacement.
  • Doesn't include a firewall which is a big security risk.
  • Wont allow to use Mp3 tracks as ringtones.
  • Fixed 4gb memory, no provision for additional memory cards.
