June 29th 18:00hrs UST.. Yes, the time has come near. Full touch screen operation, screen occupy almost its full body, most powerful OS in a phone ever and they say 'the most powerful iPod ever made'. Well, don't jump and not every phone is perfect. So before you buy, it isn't bad to check a preview of this marvelous tech gadget to know its pros/cons click HERE.

So what does an iPhone pack? A cell phone, multimedia player with widescreen video, 3.5 inch (320x480 at 160ppi) HVGA display, full operation through touch screen, portable net browser, wireless connectivity, 2G Quad-band GSM, Bluetooth 2.0, all in one! (see at bottom of this article for official full iPhone specs).
What makes this phone standout among others? its like a mobile mac. The full touch screen which occupies almost its full body has some interesting GUI effects (like in mac desktops) and groovy touch screen functions. It support widgets which are displayed in its 'home' screen [see image below].

The list of inbox mails can be dragged down in a smooth animated manner like spinning a wheel rather than conventional technique of using scroll bars/buttons. You can zoom into pictures or web pages by just 'pinching' and 'un-pinching' them with two fingers on the screen, an example of its multi-touch sensing capability. The music albums are displayed in 3D and we can browse them like playing cards.

Theirs the accelerometer which adjusts the phone's display to portrait/landscape depending on how we hold it. Like in iPods the battery is non-replaceable and no memory card slot for storage expansion, a sad news though hmm. well I don't think a normal user would need more bat life (like in phones where you can change battery with a charged one on the go) than apple's claim of 6hrs of web surfing, 7hrs of video playback, 8hrs of talk time and 24hrs of incomparable music playback time with a full recharge.
The phone runs a special version of Mac OSX which would take 700mb of memory space and will support 3rd party applications through its web browser safari and sources say it is likely to be powered by Samsung's unified CPU. EE Times Europe say the phone would have 3 strong ARM processors. Those smooth GUI animations on the phone is powered by 'Core Animation' technology. Anyway's the phone promises to be the most user friendly mobile ever. Lets hope it to be.
